By creating an account or using ChessGrade (chessgrade.io), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before proceeding. If you do not agree with any condition, do not use the service.
1. About the service
ChessGrade is an educational chess-training platform offering tactical puzzles, AI-assisted game analysis, spaced repetition, and other study tools for players of all levels. The service is provided "as is" and evolves continuously: features may be changed, expanded, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee rating gains, tournament results, or uninterrupted availability.
2. Eligibility and account
To use ChessGrade you must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 must have consent from a legal guardian where required. When you create an account you agree to:
- Provide a valid email address and verify it.
- Keep your password confidential and be responsible for all activity on your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access through our contact page.
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free-plan limits or suspensions is prohibited.
3. Free plan and Premium
ChessGrade offers a free plan with limited features and a paid Premium plan; access differences are described on the subscription page. Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe and renew automatically for the contracted period (monthly or yearly). You may cancel at any time via the subscription management portal; Premium access stays active until the end of the period already paid. We do not offer partial refunds for unused periods, except where required by applicable law. The conditions and price shown at checkout govern each purchase.
4. Acceptable use
The following are prohibited:
- Using scripts, bots, or automation to access the service in an unauthorized manner.
- Attempting to bypass security measures or usage limits.
- Sharing account credentials with third parties.
- Reproducing, redistributing, or commercially exploiting ChessGrade content without prior authorization.
- Any illegal act or act that infringes the rights of third parties.
5. Content and intellectual property
The interface, text, source code, design, and curation of ChessGrade are the property of ChessGrade or its licensors, protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Puzzle data and third-party software remain under their respective licenses, described on Sources and licenses. Games imported from external platforms (Chess.com, Lichess) belong to the respective user and are processed solely for analysis within the service. By uploading a PGN, you represent that you have the right to do so.
6. Availability and changes
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may occur at any time. We may modify these Terms; material changes will be communicated through available channels, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new version.
7. Limitation of liability
ChessGrade is a study tool and does not promise guaranteed chess results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or unavailability of the service.
8. Termination
You may close your account through the available settings or by request to support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. For questions, use the Contact page. See also our Privacy Policy.
